2024 GMC Acadia Redesign, Colors, Interior – Because the crossover market in the United States is so competitive, the GMC Acadia will face stiff competition from some of the most excellent crossovers in the midsize range. Although the American brand is already well-known, the SUV aims to differentiate itself by fusing elegance and affordability. It’s slightly smaller than its main competitors but comfortably contains three rows of seats. When combined with various engine, including a turbocharged four-cylinder and a powerful V6, the car’s focus appears to be a little hazy.
Fortunately, this “jack of all crafts, master of none” approach is bolstered by an abundance of comfort and safety technology, which helps the Acadia shore up some of its weak areas, such as a tight third row and a little cargo hold. With the competition upgrading faster, it will be interesting to see if Acadia can maintain its market position for another year.
2024 GMC Acadia Redesign
Last year, we grumbled about the 2024 GMC Acadia standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine’s 193 horsepower. For the 2024 model year, that engine and the entry-level SL trim level have been phased out. The entry-level Acadia is now the SLE with the 228-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, boosting the price from $29,800 last year to $34,800 this year.
All driver-assistance functions previously available only as part of the Pro Safety Plus package are now standard, including automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. There is a new paint color available-Light Stone Metallic-as well as many new wheel options. Finally, several modifications have been made to the conventional equipment.
Interior
While the 2024 GMC Acadia remains a gorgeous crossover on the exterior, the interior has not gotten the same level of attention from designers, and as a result, it is beginning to seem antiquated. However, high-quality materials are employed throughout, and the uncomplicated aesthetic may appeal to those who want a no-frills approach to style.
While you’ll need to pay to acquire some of the more desirable options, like power-adjustable seats or leather upholstery, the controls for all of the included technology, which is plentiful, are conveniently located. A large part of this is due to the infotainment screen’s reasonable size and the console’s lack of clutter. However, more tech-savvy shoppers may be unimpressed.
Engine
When purchasing a 2024 GMC Acadia, you have a choice of two engine, but you must also choose a trim level that meets your power requirements. The entry-level SLE comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, which is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive on the bottom three trims—including, starting this year, the Denali—but not on the AT4, which comes only with the V6 engine. It produces 228 horsepower and a remarkable 258 pound-feet of torque, which makes the crossover seem more agile on the road.
While you may still need to plan some of your overtaking movements, you should have sufficient power to execute them when the time is right. The SLT and Denali also have access to the AT4’s regular 3.6-liter V6. On all models save the AT4, you may select the drivetrain that best meets your needs, with the exception of the AT4, which comes standard with a V6 and is also exclusively AWD.
2024 GMC Acadia Release Date and Price
While the 2024 GMC Acadia price is slightly higher than that of other affordable crossovers, it is not outrageous. The FWD SLE is priced at $34,800, while the FWD SLT outfitted with the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine is priced at $39,100. Converting to AWD brings the SLE’s price to $37,100 and the SLT’s price to $41,100. The AT4 is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive and a V6 engine and starts at $41,100. The Denali starts at $46,600 for the 2.0-liter turbo with FWD, while the Denali with the V6 and AWD costs nearly $50,000 at $48,600.
